Indians Beat Bats, 4-2
|
Aaron Humphrey, who is tied for 6th in the IL in innings pitched with 155.0, pitched well, but the Louisville Bats still fell short, losing, 4-2, to the Indianapolis Indians at Victory Field. Indianapolis reliever Melvin Delgado snagged the win, upping his record to 10-1. Aaron Humphrey shouldered the loss. Dave Stearns finished the game for Indianapolis and earned his 18th save.
The Indians got a big at-bat from designated hitter Casey Ketter. For the game, Ketter was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 11th double of the season gave Indianapolis a 3-2 lead.
"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Louisville manager Isaac Moles.
The Indians now have a record of 61-53 with the win over Louisville.
