Mud Hens Walk It Off for 50th Win of Season
The Toledo Mud Hens got a magnificent performance from pitcher Brad Danforth, who muffled the Lehigh Valley offense en route to a tight, 2-1 Mud Hens win at Fifth Third Field. The last-place Mud Hens improved to 50-65.

The Mud Hens were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 26-year old center fielder Jay Bormann landed a big blow. He turned a 1-1 fastball from Eric Patterson into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Fifth Third Field denizens into a frenzy and sent the Mud Hens home with a thrilling 2-1 win.

"The fans went nuts at the end," Bormann said.
