IronPigs Top Clippers in Extras, 4-2
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs used the hitting of shortstop Tony Fernandez to subdue the Columbus Clippers, 4-2, in 10 innings. For the game, Fernandez went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times. Lehigh Valley reliever Marco Garcia picked up the win, upping his record to 6-5. Paul Cowles absorbed the loss. Carlos Perdomo got credit for the save for Lehigh Valley. It was his 10th of the year.

Lehigh Valley used the timely hitting of Jonathan Rodriguez to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the IronPigs on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"This ballgame left me feeling kind of raw," said Columbus manager Toby West.

The 4th-place IronPigs sport a record of 54-62.
