Clippers Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Bisons, 9-7
The Columbus Clippers withstood a fine game by Buffalo center fielder Chris Abbott at Coca-Cola Field, to upend the Bisons, 9-7. Abbott was 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Columbus reliever Jayden Banks picked up the win to move to 2-0. Dustin Marks suffered the loss. With the win, Columbus elevates its record to 12-9.

Columbus used the clutch hitting of Niko Von Meyer to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Clippers the lead, 9-7. For the game, Von Meyer had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Von Meyer.
