IronPigs Knock Off Mud Hens at Coca-Cola Park
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs took on the Toledo Mud Hens at Coca-Cola Park.

Lehigh Valley IronPigs starter Jose Leon found his groove in his team's 6-2 win over the Toledo Mud Hens. Leon got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 2 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run. Picking up the save was 25-year old right-handed pitcher David Adams.

In the bottom of the third inning, the IronPigs grabbed the lead when Carlos Ruiz rapped a two-out single. Lehigh Valley was trailing 1-0, when Ruiz hit a 2-run single off Ryan Mebust to put his team in front, 2-1.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Lehigh Valley manager Bryce Bissinger.

The IronPigs improved their record to 48-71 with the win over Toledo.
