Elkins Launches 2 Dingers, But Toledo Wins
Durham center fielder George Elkins had a good game, even if his team did not. The Bulls dropped a 7-5 decision to Toledo at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Elkins went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Jose Munoz snagged the win in relief. In 1.2 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on no hits. He's now 7-4 on the season. Toledo raised its record to 61-58 with the win.

Toledo used the timely hitting of Tomoshi Matsuo to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mud Hens on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning never gets dull," said Matsuo.
