The Charlotte Knights picked up a win at BB&T Stadium, knocking off the Buffalo Bisons, 4-3. Starting pitcher Raul Ornelas played a key role in the triumph. Chad Bergeron, credited with the win in relief, is now 6-2. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1 innings. Bernie Carrillo notched his 22nd save of the season.

Charlotte took the lead, 4-3, on Jeremy Rice's 15th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Buffalo pitcher Jamari Shaw in the bottom of the seventh.

"Raul was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Charlotte manager Nick Zlomke.

Charlotte is 81-38 and Buffalo, with the loss, 57-62.
