Indians Nipped, 4-1, by Pawtucket
|
The Pawtucket Red Sox in 11 innings beat the Indianapolis Indians, 4-1, at Victory Field. Starting pitcher Alberto Bustillo was a major factor, holding his opponents in check all game. The third-place Red Sox improved to 59-61.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Stephon Houston? The 27-year old second baseman Houston stroked a 2-run double in the top of the 11th inning to put Pawtucket up, 3-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Houston.
