Charlotte Knights starter Tony Ponce De Leon turned in an exceptional performance against the Scranton WB RailRiders at PNC Field, resulting in a Charlotte win, 4-2. The save went to Ruben Guevara, number 3 for him. The win takes Charlotte to 10-12.

Randy Donahue came through with a big-time hit for Charlotte. The first baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 2-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Tony made some big pitches when he needed to," said Knights manager Nick Zlomke.
