Clippers Upend Red Sox, 6-2
The Columbus Clippers got a stellar performance from pitcher Greg Pence, who handcuffed the Pawtucket offense en route to a win, 6-2, at McCoy Stadium. After today's action, Columbus sits at 55-68, while Pawtucket falls to 61-62.

Columbus used a well-timed hit by Julio Villarreal to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Clippers ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"I loved our energy," said Columbus manager Dan Goldthwaite. "I loved the way we played."
