Walk-Off Seals 79th Victory for Knights
Despite a great performance by Pawtucket center fielder Mark Pearson, the Charlotte Knights defeated the Red Sox by the score of 5-4 at BB&T Stadium. Pearson was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Charlotte is now 79-46, while Pawtucket is 64-61.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Charlotte center fielder Frank Mumm, facing Allen Reeves, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Knights the 5-4 win.

"I was a little disappointed," said Pawtucket manager Philip Vasquez. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
