Lehigh Valley went toe-to-toe with Indianapolis before a winner was decided.

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs and the Indianapolis Indians played into extra innings before the winner was determined. The IronPigs won it, 6-4, in 12 innings. In the game, Lehigh Valley second baseman Jim Loftin was 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Lehigh Valley reliever Ryan Perez picked up the win, upping his record to 5-5. Ramon Fuster absorbed the loss.

Loftin had a game-changing home run in the top of the 12th. On a first pitch fastball from Ramon Fuster, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the IronPigs a 6-4 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Loftin.

"This was a tremendous character win for our team," said Lehigh Valley manager Nick Bradfield.

The 5th-place IronPigs now have a record of 59-66.
