Late Offense Lifts Buffalo to 6-5 Victory
The Durham Bulls could not turn a fine performance from second baseman Brian McDonald into a win. Instead, the Buffalo Bisons prevailed, 6-5. McDonald went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Buffalo reliever Johnny Davies got the win, raising his record to 1-2. Darius Thompson was tagged with the loss. The Bisons saw their win-loss record go to 76-50. At the same time, the Bulls fell to 55-71.

The Bisons were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 27-year old second baseman Mike Jeanis landed a big blow. He turned a first pitch cutter from Chris Kelly into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Coca-Cola Field denizens into a frenzy and sent the Bisons home with a thrilling 6-5 win.

"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Jeanis.
