The Buffalo Bisons topped the Norfolk Tides by a score of 9-1. Leading the way was catcher Darren Buruse. Buruse hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Bisons. The third-place Tides dropped to 67-59.

With Buffalo leading 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Buruse hit a fastball from Pedro Salazar for a 2-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Bisons ahead, 4-0.

"What a dismal performance," lamented losing manager Alfredo Rojas.
