Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Toledo Mud Hens and Charlotte Knights.

The Toledo Mud Hens defeated the Charlotte Knights, 6-5, at BB&T Stadium. Mike Stewart produced 2 singles and 1 double, while scoring 1 run and driving in 2. The win went to Jon Ballantine in relief, making him now 2-0. Ryan Mays took the loss for Charlotte.

Toledo took a 5-4 lead on Cody Doran's 17th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Doran hit in the top of the eighth, left Charlotte pitcher Ryan Mays visibly frustrated.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Doran.

The first-place Mud Hens go to 69-57.
