The Toledo Mud Hens knocked off the Pawtucket Red Sox, 2-0, in International League action at McCoy Stadium. Toledo pitcher and Glendale, Arizona, native Dustin Gaul had an outstanding performance. Brad Danforth closed it out for Toledo, earning his 1st save. Toledo is last in the West Division with a record of 56-70.

Had Rick Roberts not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Roberts hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Mud Hens.

"Dustin was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Toledo manager Will Esparza.
