Von Meyer Swings Chiefs to 23-9 Win
Niko Von Meyer was the difference-maker for the Syracuse Chiefs in what turned into a shootout with the Scranton WB RailRiders. Von Meyer went 2-for-5 in the 23-9 Chiefs win. Cory Gonzalez snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits over 4 innings. He's now 2-0 on the season. With the win, the Chiefs improved to 68-60.

Syracuse got a big at-bat from Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela native Andres Antu, who in the bottom of the first hit a grand slam home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Chiefs ahead, 8-0.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Von Meyer told the Syracuse Bulletin.
