Syracuse took on Buffalo in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Billy Lantry, in particular, was fantastic. The right-hander helped the Chiefs snag the win, 1-0, in 10 innings. The victory gives Syracuse a record of 71-59.

The Chiefs got a clutch hit from designated hitter Manny Alas. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Chiefs.

"The crowd was juiced," said Alas.
