Syracuse took on Scranton WB in front of a lively crowd.

Syracuse Chiefs starter Josh Wright was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Scranton WB RailRiders, 9-1. The Chiefs saw their record improve to 71-60.

Syracuse used the bat of Brandon Blankenship to capture the win. The catcher jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Chiefs ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Wright said.
