Durham first baseman Ruben Macias had a good game, even if his team did not. The Bulls dropped a 5-4 decision to Charlotte at BB&T Stadium. Macias went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Colin Stack got credit for the win, improving to 10-11. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 7 innings. The last-place Knights go to 60-72.

Charlotte took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Jason Stanzione hit a run-scoring single to make it 4-3, Knights.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Durham manager Arnáo Dique.
