The Charlotte Knights topped the Norfolk Tides, 5-3, in International League action at BB&T Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Charlotte pitcher Jonathan Stevens. Charlotte's record now stands at 75-57, placing them first in the South Division.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Matt Bauer had a game-changing hit. The Knights first baseman slammed a 2-run single off Joey Averitt, making the score 5-2, Charlotte.

"At the end of the day, wins and losses are really the only thing that matters," said Bauer.
