Bisons Deal IronPigs 2-1 Setback
|
The Buffalo Bisons topped the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 2-1, in International League action at Coca-Cola Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Buffalo pitcher Alvaro Garcia. Buffalo is in third place in the North Division with a record of 65-67.
The IronPigs had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Bisons going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old third baseman Mike Goodis came to the plate. Goodis hit a run-scoring double on a 1-1 fastball from Lehigh Valley hurler David Umana. It was Goodis's 2nd double of the year.
"I was the aggressor," said Garcia. "No doubt about it."
