Mud Hens Deal Indianapolis 5-3 Defeat
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Toledo Mud Hens and Indianapolis Indians.

The Toledo Mud Hens weathered an outstanding game by Indianapolis designated hitter Jim Pak to topple the Indians, 5-3. Pak was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Scott Bukowski earned the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 7-0. Phil Richeson earned the save for Toledo, his 16th of the year.

The Mud Hens got a big at-bat from shortstop Steve Estes. For the game, Estes was 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 8th double of the season gave Toledo a 3-0 lead.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Estes told the Toledo Daily News. "Whatever it takes."

The win for the Mud Hens lifted their record to 72-60.
