Juarez Powers Bats Offense
|
No one was more impactful than Melvin Juarez in the 8-3 Louisville win over Columbus. Juarez, who is tied for 6th in the IL in doubles with 33, went 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Dan Costello, the winner, improved to 1-0. He held the Clippers to 2 runs on 3 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 2. The defeat makes Columbus 71-62.
In the bottom of the third, Juarez had a 2-run home run for Louisville. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Bats on top, 2-0.
"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Juarez.
