Buffalo pitcher Franklin Castro had a large part in his team beating the Scranton WB RailRiders, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Buffalo reliever Alfredo Gonzalez picked up the win, upping his record to 11-4. Richard Silverstone took the loss. The Bisons go to 74-60, putting them first in the North Division.

Will Gilmore went 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI for Buffalo. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Gilmore, who is tied for 5th in the IL in RBI with 65, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Scranton WB hurler Richard Silverstone, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Bisons a 3-2 lead.

"Even if things get a little hairy, Franklin trusts his ability," said Buffalo manager Casey Bac.
