Jules Carson was superb against Indianapolis. The left-hander had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Mud Hens victory. The score was 5-3. The second-place Mud Hens sport a record of 74-60.

Alberto Servantez, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2103 draft, took Indianapolis hurler Willis Pulido deep in the bottom of the third. His 3-run home run put the Mud Hens on top, 3-1. In all, Servantez had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Servantez told the Toledo Daily News. "You win just by scoring more runs."
