The Charlotte Knights overcame a good performance by Gwinnett second baseman Josh Cipolla to knock off Gwinnett, 6-5, at BB&T Stadium. Cipolla went 3-4 with a triple and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. At 78-58, the Knights find themselves in first place in the South Division.

Charlotte took the lead, 6-5, on Kyle Urban's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Gwinnett pitcher George Bryan in the bottom of the eighth.

"Winning is the only objective," said Urban after the game.
