RailRiders Deal Chiefs 3-1 Loss
|
Scranton WB used a superb performance from starting pitcher Joe Long to down the Syracuse Chiefs, 3-1. The win was credited to Sean Warner in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Alvin Mendez took the loss. Scranton WB is now 68-68, Syracuse 74-62.
John Badowski, the 25-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Badowski contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Scranton WB up, 2-1.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Long. "I just want to win ballgames."
