Indians Grind Out 2-1 Win
|
The Indianapolis Indians got a magnificent performance from pitcher Scott Connell, who muffled the Columbus offense en route to a tight, 2-1 Indians win at Victory Field. With the win, Indianapolis climbs to 11-13.
The Indians got a big at-bat from right fielder Justin Cantrell. For the game, Cantrell was 2 for 3 with a triple and a double. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 8th double of the season gave Indianapolis a 2-1 lead.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Cantrell.
