IronPigs Stick Red Wings with 3-2 Loss
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs topped the Rochester Red Wings, 3-2, in International League action at Frontier Field. The standout performance belonged to Lehigh Valley pitcher and Jackson Township, New Jersey, native Joe Curran. Lehigh Valley reliever Joe Curran got the win, raising his record to 6-9. Jesse Allen was tagged with the loss. Leonardo Aguirre was called on to finish, recording his 4th save.

Lehigh Valley relied on the hitting of Cesar Quinteros to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the IronPigs on top, 3-1. For the game, Quinteros had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We were in it," said Rochester manager Mark Seyler. "We just didn't score enough runs."

Lehigh Valley is in last place in the North Division with a record of 36-101.
