The Buffalo Bisons defeated the Syracuse Chiefs, 4-0, in part because of designated hitter Billy Morales. Morales went 3-3 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk for the Bisons. Buffalo reliever Matt Burgos picked up the win, raising his record to 6-7. Bill Robinson was tagged with the loss. At 72-65, Buffalo is in second place in the North Division.

Morales made an early impact for Buffalo when he stroked his 6th triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which came in the bottom of the second, put the Bisons on top, 2-0.

After the game, Morales refused to speak to a reporter for the Buffalo Citizen. "You've accused me of throwing teammates under the bus," he said. "So, excuse me if I decline to answer your questions."
