Red Wings Rack Up 3-1 Win Versus Lehigh Valley
|
Rochester pitcher Marcos Sanchez had a large part in his team subduing the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 3-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Sanchez, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. Earning his 12th save for Rochester was Colby Walker.
Kevin Easter helped out the Rochester cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the right fielder drew 4 walks.
"We busted our tails," said Lehigh Valley manager Bryce Bissinger. "But we came up short."
The Red Wings raised their record to 68-70.
