Toledo Mud Hens starter Ernie Lowery turned in a top-notch performance against the Indianapolis Indians at Fifth Third Field. The result was a win for the Mud Hens, 3-1. Phil Richeson, 11-9, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. With the win, the Mud Hens sit at 79-59.

Brad Littell played the role of hero for Toledo. In the bottom of the ninth, he launched a 2-run home run off Jay Badeau to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.

"Tough loss," said Indianapolis manager Rene Almanza. "But we'll learn from it."
