Pawtucket got a terrific performance from pitcher Mike Sherwood, but it wasn't enough to beat the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Lehigh Valley won the McCoy Stadium contest, 3-1. Sherwood threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Lehigh Valley pitcher Eric Patterson got the win. He's now 8-6. Alex Hall was tagged with the loss. The 5th-place IronPigs bumped their record to 63-76.

Lehigh Valley relied on the hitting of Jaylen Craighead to pick up the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the IronPigs on top, 2-1. For the game, Craighead had 1 triple and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
