Groeschen Tames Knights
The Norfolk Tides got great pitching from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Brian Groeschen, allowing them to bump off the Charlotte Knights, 4-0. The third-place Tides hiked their record to 80-59.

Groeschen overpowered the Knights. The Norfolk left-hander allowed 4 hits over 8.1 innings, while recording 10 punchouts. With the win, he is 1-0 on the season.

"Brian had electric stuff," said Norfolk manager Danny Simas.
