Downward Spiral Continues for Durham
The Charlotte Knights picked up a win at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, dropping the Durham Bulls, 4-3. Chad Muha, who is tied for 9th in the IL in strikeouts with 179, was the difference-maker. Tony Ponce De Leon converted his 36th save in 38 tries. The loss makes Durham 62-78.

Charlotte used a well-timed hit by Mike Richard to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Knights ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Our offense was purring," said Charlotte manager Nick Zlomke. "Like a well-oiled machine."
