Columbus Clippers starter Robert Castro turned in a top-notch performance against the Indianapolis Indians at Victory Field. The result was a win for the Clippers, 4-1. Kyle Fruge nailed down the save. With the win, the Clippers improved to 56-85.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ryan Staples? The 26-year old right fielder Staples stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Columbus up, 2-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Castro. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
