The Scranton WB RailRiders beat the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 9-5, at Coca-Cola Park. Ryan Barker, in particular, was impressive. He was 2-4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Matt Radl got the win, improving to 6-18. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 10 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 1. The RailRiders improved to 62-79.

Scranton WB used a clutch at-bat from Amaro Alfarela to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the RailRiders ahead, 6-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Barker.
