IronPigs Earn Win with Late Rally
|
Scranton WB got a valiant performance from pitcher Matt Barber, but it wasn't enough to beat the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Lehigh Valley won the game, 5-4. Barber threw 7.0 innings of 1-hit ball for the losing team. Lehigh Valley goes to 74-68, Scranton WB to 53-89.
Lehigh Valley went up, 5-4, on Hector Guzman's 11th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Guzman hit in the bottom of the eighth, made Scranton WB pitcher Ignacio Garza grimace.
"We'll pocket this win," said Guzman, "and then go after another."
