RailRiders Handle Chiefs, 6-1
|
Scranton WB pitcher Matt Radl did his part in helping his team defeat the Syracuse Chiefs, 6-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Scranton WB is last in the North Division with a record of 62-80.
Travis Posey had a big run-scoring double for the RailRiders in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Scranton WB leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from 24-year old left-handed pitcher Melvin Vasquez and swatted a double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the RailRiders ahead, 3-1.
"I had one goal in mind," said Radl. "Keep pounding the zone."
