|
The Indianapolis Indians defeated the Columbus Clippers by the score of 3-1. Jason Welsh starred for Indianapolis, going 2-for-3 with 2 home runs. Indianapolis, at 67-75, holds down third place in the West Division.
Welsh had a key at-bat for Indianapolis in the bottom of the second. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and gave Indianapolis an early 2-0 lead.
