Josh Phillips was instrumental in his team's 5-3 triumph over the Norfolk Tides. The designated hitter went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Charlotte Knights. Ryan Mays wrapped it up, recording his 7th save. The win moves Charlotte to a record of 12-12.

With Charlotte leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Phillips hit a fastball from Roland Nobilo for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Knights ahead, 4-1.

Phillips told a Charlotte Today reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
