New Hampshire right-hander John Ferch helped his team edge Hartford by the score of 3-2. Ferch kept the opposing lineup in check. Picking up his 8th save was 27-year old right-handed pitcher Preston Holub. New Hampshire is now 28-28.

Ricardo Lopez had a big solo home run for the Fisher Cats in the bottom of the fourth inning. With New Hampshire leading 2-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a splitter from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Humberto Sandoval and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Fisher Cats on top, 3-0.

"I was a little disappointed," said Hartford manager Jerry Jones. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
