The Altoona Curve and Reading Fightin Phils put on a pitchers' duel.

Matt Postlethwaite, who is tied for 9th in the EL with a 2.55 ERA, was in top form in a tight contest between Altoona and Reading. The Curve right-hander helped his team beat the Fightin Phils, 2-1. Randy Owen earned the save for Altoona, his 7th of the year.

Ramon Estrada contributed to the Altoona win with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 RBI.
