Baysox Win in Extras, 5-4
|
Richmond left fielder J.D. Wagner had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-4, to Bowie in 10 innings. Wagner was 2-3 with a triple and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Bowie pitcher Mike Hindman earned the win, hiking his record to 5-6. Nick Robbins suffered the loss. The 4th-place Baysox now have a win-loss record of 31-27.
Bowie used the timely hitting of Edwin Morell to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Baysox on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Morell told the Bowie Times.
