RubberDucks Throttled by SeaWolves, 5-0
|
The Erie SeaWolves converted a terrific effort from starter John Brennan into a win over the Akron RubberDucks at Jerry Uht Park. The SeaWolves won the game by a final score of 5-0. In 5.2 innings, Brennan surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. Jason Harris earned the save for Erie.
The two teams provided some entertaining baseball for the Jerry Uht Park crowd. Regardless of the outcome, a good time was had by all.
"I'm happy we won," said Brennan. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
The second-place SeaWolves have a record of 32-27.
