Senators Stick Flying Squirrels with 3-2 Loss
|
The Harrisburg Senators picked up a win at The Diamond, knocking off the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 3-2. On the mound for Harrisburg was right-hander Miguel Macias, who played a pivotal role in the win. Macias got the win, improving to 5-5. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Macias allowed 2 runs. Jeremiah Crawford recorded his 2nd save for Harrisburg.
Harrisburg used the timely hitting of Randy Marsh to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Senators on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Marsh.
The win elevated the Senators to 31-27.
