The Reading Fightin Phils took Erie pitcher Dustin Gaul's best shot and still were able to claim a win at FirstEnergy Stadium. The final score had Reading getting past the SeaWolves, 3-2. Gaul went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 9. Erie has now lost 5 straight.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 22-year old second baseman Jonathan Rodriguez had a chance to be the hero. Erie pitcher Bobby Espinoza wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Rodriguez hit a sacrifice fly. The Fightin Phils had themselves a thrilling win.

"It's what good teams do, find a way to win," said Rodriguez.
