Mets Dispatch Thunder, 10-2
The Binghamton Mets beat the Trenton Thunder, 10-2. Binghamton pitcher and Manchester, New Hampshire, native Seth Jones led the way. The second-place Mets lifted their record to 39-20.

The Mets got an important contribution from designated hitter Mike Sigal, who in the bottom of the third punched a 2-2 splitter into left for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Mets ahead, 4-0.

Sigal told the Binghamton Daily News: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
