SeaWolves Take Nail-Biter Over Fisher Cats
|
The Erie SeaWolves snuck past the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 5-4, in 10 innings. Erie pitcher Edgar Perez, in particular, had a standout performance. The SeaWolves win now puts them at 34-27.
Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 27-year old second baseman Pat Hendrickson had a chance to be the hero. New Hampshire pitcher Manny Amaya wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Hendrickson hit a sacrifice fly. The SeaWolves had themselves a thrilling win.
"We're playing like we're capable of," said Erie manager Frank Hennessy.
