Knights Take Tight Tilt
|
The Charlotte Knights picked up a win at BB&T Stadium, courtesy of Ryan Kelly. The right-hander helped his team stop the Durham Bulls, 3-2. The win leaves Charlotte with a record of 14-11.
The Knights got a big at-bat from first baseman Billy Self. For the game, Self was 1-4 with a triple, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing triple. His 2nd triple of the season gave Charlotte a 3-0 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Charlotte manager Nick Zlomke. "It's usually not just one thing."
