Fisher Cats Win at Akron, 6-2
|
John Gongloff, who is tied for 5th in the EL with a 9.1 K/9 rate, was locked in. The right-hander led the New Hampshire Fisher Cats to a 6-2 win against the Akron RubberDucks at Canal Park. The Fisher Cats now have a mark of 29-32.
New Hampshire used the hitting of Benny Schallhorn to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Fisher Cats on top, 3-0. For the game, Schallhorn had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
