Harper Excels, But Thunder Win
The Trenton Thunder weathered a fine game by Reading third baseman Jadon Harper to upend the Fightin Phils, 11-8, at FirstEnergy Stadium. Harper went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Bob Searle, credited with the save, is now 4 for 4 in save opportunities. Trenton is now 27-36, Reading 32-30.

Trenton used the hitting of Alex Caceres to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Thunder on top, 3-0. For the game, Caceres had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Trenton manager Pat Gilman.
