Erie starter Armando Contreras pitched well against the Richmond Flying Squirrels at Jerry Uht Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-3. Contreras picked up the win for Erie, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 5-2. With the win over Richmond, the SeaWolves improved to 39-23.

Cody Doran had a big 2-run double for the SeaWolves in the bottom of the second inning. With Erie leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Justin Gage and swatted a double to right. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the SeaWolves ahead, 3-0.

"We've got a great group of guys," Doran said, "and we're having fun right now."
